client: Atlantic Media industry: Media – UK year: 2015-2018 capabilities: Art Direction, Editorial Management, Content, Art Final, Promotion
my role: Initially, I was responsible for creating and managing the magazine ads. I started as an intern but soon, during a repositioning process, I was invited to redesign the masthead and assist with cover design. It was a successful test so I was promoted to the position of Art Director after some changes in our team structure. In this role, I was responsible for content management, overseeing each step from the plan to the last changes of each issue, development and art final delivery.
extra role: In a fast-paced environment we have to adapt to different situations. While our team was looking for a new photographer and stylist I had to step in and prepare and execute some product photoshoots to comply with content requests, client contract agreements and deadlines. I was happy with those extra tasks because I had the opportunity to learn more about the process, timings and possible results.

challenges, benefits and delivery: I worked with a talented team of writers, photographers, and designers. One of the most exciting aspects of working on a bi-monthly issue is the fact that we always need fresh ideas, products, and new destination suggestions, to ensure that each issue will be relevant. It was essential to get the best content for our readers and opportunities for our advertisers. Attending multiple wedding events, travel markets, product launches, and fashion weeks allowed me to connect with amazing brands, designers and promoters. Building and maintaining a good relationship between us I was able to have access to more and better material for each issue content which made me more confident with my decisions and final results.

plus: I have been invited to some press trips where I had the opportunity to write my travel articles/reviews and promote the magazine overseas.
distribuition: In the UK, over 30,000 copies are available at major newsagents, supermarkets, railway stations, airports, and prestigious locations such as Harrods and Selfridges. It also is distributed on airlines and lounges, including Heathrow, Virgin Atlantic, Malaysia Airlines, Air Canada, and Star Alliance. Internationally, we can find it distributed in Australia, Belgium, China, Germany, Hong Kong, Hungary, Luxembourg, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, Switzerland, Taiwan, the United Arab Emirates, Italy, and Ireland.
